BACKGROUND CHECK OR BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION PHILIPPINES


Per request of the client the agency processes the following; looking up and compiling criminal records, commercial records and financial records (in certain instances such as pre-employment screening) of an individual.
Background checks are advisable with regard to people who are being considered for sensitive positions or positions of trust or with regard to those intending to transact significant business with an organization. There are many instances wherein a job candidate misrepresented certain facts about himself or herself either to conceal or otherwise embellish critical information to the disadvantage of the organization concerned.


Common Types of Checks and Background Investigation

    1. Previous employment background
    2. Educational background (scholastic records, academic degrees and any professional credentials)
    3. Character references and citations
    4.Off-the-job activities or during period of unemployment
    5. Identity and address check - to verify or validate whether the subject is who he or she claims to be. Generally includes verification of the person's known addresses and validation of government ID's.
    6. Whether an applicant has a financial interest in or obligation to a business entity
    7. Credit background and history of bankruptcies, if any
    8. Criminal records, if any

    May I know if background check firms are covered by RA 5487 (The Private Security Agency Law) and is required to be licensed as such.

  3. Thank to the author for a list of background checks. Today employers are sceptical to the diploma, CV, - it isn`t surprising! One dishonest employee can cause damage to the entire company. It`s better to do background check for employers with the help of professional services which keep confidentiality. Now almost all companies use the services of professional background check.
